MAKE A STAND FOR YOUR RIGHTS
Hello everyone! I recently started work with Australian landscape photographer Ken Duncan and he needs me to pass this message on to all photographers.
As most photographers would be aware there is an increasing amount of restrictions and fees having to be paid for the rights to photograph landscapes in Australia and the rest of the world.
Founded in 2004, Arts Freedom Australia in a non-profit umbrella body representing Australia's major photographic associations as well as many individual photographers. Arts Freedom Australia was formed because of an industry-wide concern about the increasing amount of bureaucracy and red-tape turning Australia into a land of forbidden horizons for image makers. Arts Freedom Australia is tired of photographers being treated as terrorists, criminals and predators. The chairman of Arts Freedom Australia is leading landscape photographer Ken Duncan. He is joined by some of Australia's most celebrated photographers in the fight to see the return of some basic common sense to our nation's laws.
Photography in Australia is under attack and photographers and other image makers are losing their rights to freedom of expression.
Arts Freedom Australia demands fair access for all to iconic public locations like Sydney Harbour, Bondi Beach and Uluru.
If photographers are making no more impact on the environment than the general tourist, permits and permissions should NOT be required.
So this is an address to all photographers out there to join the fight and stand up for our rights! If we do not make a stand now, soon there will be no locations to shoot without huge fees, or there will be bans on iconic landmarks of Australia.
Arts Freedom Australia is holding a gathering which will run from 10am on Sunday, August 29, at Campbell’s Cove, Sydney Harbour. PLEASE COME TO THIS EVENT! It is extremely important that we get as many photographers there as possible to show support for the industry and your rights! ITS TIME TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED!

Please tell every photographer you know about this event and make an effort to be there. This issue will not be solved if no one makes a stand. Pass this message on, spread the word and we will see you from 10am on Sunday, August 29, at Campbell’s Cove, Sydney Harbour WITH YOUR CAMERA
